Dana's husband died unexpectedly several years ago, abruptly ending our future plans. Dana had just convinced me to start my own breeding program so we could enhance both programs by working together.
It was scary and lonely at first, but with Dana's support, I was able to get thru the first breedings without too much difficulty. Since then, I love being back in the show halls with my very own cats and kittens. I certainly miss Dana, as it's certainly not the same without her, but the good news is that Purrmaker cats are making finals and gaining recognition with each new show.
Purrmaker is a small CFA Registered cattery, breeding Exotics and Persians in the Greater Tampa Bay Area on Florida's west coast. It goes with saying that our goal is to meet the CFA Breed Standards; but our first priority is healthy kittens. We limit our breedings and only produce a few litters each year so we can provide each kitten with the individual attention they need.
As difficult as it is to "share" our babies, it is necessary to let go, so occasionally we have kittens and young adult cats looking for the purrfect forever home. Please check our Available page for them.
Our kittens are our babies. We raise them with lots of love as part of the family and strongly focus on them being happy, healthy and well adjusted. All of our cats and kittens are PKD negative, as our cats have all been screened and are PKD
negative by DNA testing.
